Each spring we're blessed with a new batch of kids, but sadly we cannot keep them all. We make every effort to place our adorable kids in the best homes, with preference given to owners who participate ADGA performance programs or 4H. We primarily breed purebred Nigerian Dwarf and American Nubian kids, but we will occasionally breed Mini-Nubians, (Nigerian Dwarf crossed with Nubian) as they are a good example of increased milk production in a slightly, smaller package. We register our Nigerian Dwarfs and Nubians with the American Dairy Goat Association, (ADGA) and our Mini-Nubians with the Miniature Dairy Goat Association, (MDGA). We do our very best to be present at every birth, and assist during kiddings, as needed. Kids are given a liquid mineral supplement at birth and monitored closely for optimal health and development. We dam raise and bottle feed our kids, depending on circumstances and buyer preference. All our goat kids are highly socialized to humans and other domestic and farm animals. Our livestock guardian dogs live with the goats full time, so the kids are used to dogs by the time they leave for their new homes. Every kid is disbudded (horns removed) by two weeks of age and this is done with as much compassion and efficiency as possible. Our herd is disease tested annually by WADDL, and free of CAE and CL.
